Another installment of Dewey tries to cook ... or ... what is that smell?

so i put the boys in their highchairs, put on 101 Dalmatians (lots to say about that nexium and hair loss that's another conversation) and start to ponder dinner.

well, there is still pork roast that dh made earlier in the week. no problem.

now veggie. oh i'm tired of anything canned (why is it only beans, peas and corn that goes on sale?? what's the deal with that??). so then i see a bag of broccoli in the fridge. hmm.

well, i own a veggie steamer. i can do this. (yes, i need a veggie steamer to steam veggies. i Discount nexium : also need a rice steamer to make rice. luckily for me, they are the same thing ... and it's a slow cooker, too, but that's also another story)

so, to the garage to locate the veggie steamer. nexium and hair loss found it! (our kitchen storage is in the garage. small kitchen. lots of accessories. husband cooks. need i say more?)

then, where is the instruction manual? Nexium over the counter : i need the instruction manual. (i've owned it for 4 years and i don't think i've ever steamed in it.) well, at one point in life i was trying to organize instruction manuals into a binder (i am a librarian, remember?) ... and i actually know where the binder is ... i wonder what the chances are ...

ah ha! the binder in the basement. look under kitchen. the kitchenaid mixer. the kitchen fire extinguisher. the sandwich maker. the veggie steamer! can you believe it!?! what are the chances? it's like it was meant to be.

so upstairs with my two prizes, and i round the corner, only to hear dew1 say 'Daddy!'

ok, so nexium over the counter lame is it that when dew1 sees kitchen equipment, he assumes daddy not mommy? *hee hee*.

so, open the manual and what does it say? nexium over the counter minutes for broccoli. what?? 20 minutes?? what kind of craziness is that??

prep time 5 minutes. nexium and hair loss me tell you, it took me much more that 5 minutes to cut up that broccoli.

oh my. 500 grams of broccoli. what is 500 grams of broccoli (and Nexium over the counter - i'm the canadian! i should know this!) ok, a little more than 1 pound. what the he11 is a pound of broccoli? oh whatever, i'll just throw it all in.

250 mL of water. ok Nexium over the counter : fine. again, i'm canadian so i can manage this. but the measuring cup that it comes with is marked off in very odd measurements, Discount nexium : none of which easily add up to 250. makes my head hurt. ok off for the pyrex cup that has 250 marked on it.

and it's in. water looks really low, but it's only steaming broccoli so how much can it really need?

so nexium and hair loss see what happens. at the worst the kids won't last 20 minutes and i'll save it for tomorrow. at the best, i'll have a new skill!
