How many things can Thomas the Train teach us?
Thomas is a bit thing tramadol addiction our house. i always thought he was cool, but i never dreamed how many things we can learn from him.
- names (every single train has it's own name)
- colours (they are mostly all different colours)
- numbers (they all have a different engine number)
- hand eye coordination (we can put the trains on the tracks properly, even Dew2, we build tracks too)
- fine motor skills Tramadol hcl, (we can push and pull the trains along the tracks, both with tramadol hcl hands and individual fingers, plus manipulating the buildings, engine Tramadol hcl : wash rollers, opening doors, pressing buttons)
- pretend play (we treat them like people, as they have faces, and according to the videos, they talk, too)
- language/vocab (the trains talk to each other, of course. plus, now we know up, down, bridge, tunnel, stop, go, around, airplane, helicopter ... and i can't even think of what else ...)
- problem solving (hmm ... what do i do when the track ends, or isn't complete? does this track fit?)
- gravity (trains go up, trains go down ...)
and the latest, last night at dinner ...
- magnets and magnetic properties
so clearly the trains connect by magnets. the older Tramadol hcl - ones need to be facing the right direction in order to connect, so there tramadol hcl learning about negative and positive forces (the newer ones have 'smart magnets' so that's not an issue)
but last night Dew1 discovered that while his metal forks connect to Thomas and make a great lead to drive them around his highchair tray, the plastic forks do not connect at all.
he tried several times. tramadol hcl looked at the fork. he looked at thomas. he looked at me. he tried again. then he asked for help. i saved the day by getting him a metal fork and we were back in business, but i found it amazing to watch and see him trying to put the pieces together.
who would have though a small, hardworking train would have so much to teach us?
