manhattan rush hour monsoons.
you've heard me mention them before. i'm usually either caught in them (like the time i was stranded at work uptown and was convinced that myself and the two co-workers with whom i tried to trek to the subway with armed with only an umbrella discovered in the lost and found were convinced that we'd end up in oz (the 'there's no place like home' toto i don't think we're in kansas anymore' kind of oz)) or i get to sit at my window and watch them. i learned fast enough that they don't last and it's worth spending 20 minutes in a place you didn't mean to be in (like a store, cafe, or work even) and wait it out then plunge into it.
there was also the time i was walking home and got nearly there when it started. i had an umbrella, which really does very little good, but my dress was soaked well up past my waist by the time i trudged into my apartment. thank goodness for the bridge i finally cialis sales it to and was able to wait under while it passed.
one summer i was caught in them so often i was ruining good sandals and shoes every other day, so i started carring my 'water sox' - those beach shoes that you wear Cialis sales : into the water to protect your feet - and whenever it rained i pulled them on and went with it. i mean, your feet are going to get wet, so why not wear shoes meant to get wet? i also carried a towel, dry socks and shoes so i could dry off and warm up when i got where i was going.
but i digress.
with the super high temperatures we've had this week, waiting for a thunderstorm has just been a matter of patience. on monday i actually managed to make Cialis sales - it home just as it started. on tuesday, i got to watch it from the windows at work. it stopped just long enough for cialis sales to catch a train, then started a little. a call from the city told me that it was monsooning there (perfect for rush hour) but by the time i made it in it was over. there were threats of storms yesterday (my day off) and the two times i ventured out were close to rush cialis sales so i fully expected it. however, i was lucky and they never happened.
but today it's Cialis sales - a totally different beast. the sky is green, the clouds abundant, and the temperature has plummeted. i fully expect storms all day.
just as long as they stop by the time i have to leave.
