well the city is slowly digging out. it's reminding me of an experience i had back in 1996 when i was visiting my sister. i had no idea that when i was here they'd just had one of the worst snow storms in recent history (1940's was the most recent) and i hadn't spent a lot of time in the city so i didn't really think anything of it.

in fact i'd actually forgotten about it. until yesterday.
